Does making a gingerbread house qualify as art? Well this was the first year that Mitchell actively participated in making a gingerbread house and it was definetly not a by-the-book event. Niels started off with the picture of the house off the package but that quickly was filed away. It's a real adjustment once you have kids that not everything you make/build is going to be perfectly done. So we all took a deep breath and let Mitchie put whatever candies wherever he wanted. It's a wonder any even made it onto the house. Good old Uncle Niels is great for these kind of events because he has as much fun as Mitchell does plus it gets me some what off the hook.
But we all had fun this day and yes even the adults managed to sneak in a few candies here and there. Heehee.

Wait.... did I say the ADULTS snuck in a few candies? Boy we really are in for trouble aren't we?
